Monsignor Joe Bixenman, pastor of San Jose Church, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood with a Mass of Thanksgiving Saturday, June 9 at 6:00pm at the church, located at 735 Brevard. Bishop Patrick J. Zurek will concelebrate the Mass with Monsignor Bixenman. A reception will follow the Mass in the parish hall.

Three members of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first Profession of Vows Saturday, May 19 during at 10:30am Mass celebrated by Bishop Patrick J. Zurek.
It was a different Spring Break for students and staff of the Catholic Student Center at West Texas A&M University in Canyon this year. Instead of making the yearly trek to New Mexico or Oklahoma City, more than 20 CSC students and staff stayed in Amarillo and assisted a number of local entities.
A group of 13 students, four faculty and five parents and adults representing Holy Cross Catholic Academy returned March 18 after a 10-day Spring Break trip with stops in Athens and Rome. “Our itinerary was incredible,” said Elizabeth Pace, a member of the Holy Cross faculty.
