Amarillo—The Diocesan Youth Office and the Office of Faith Formation has begun a series of meetings throughout the Diocese of Amarillo, which are designed to meet with parishioners who are evangelizing and catechizing children and youth.
“These meetings are for parish Catechetical leaders, Directors of Religious Education (DRE’s), Coordinators of Religious Education (CRE’s), Youth Ministers, Youth Leaders, Catechists, Educators, Quinceañera Catechists, RCIA Catechists and Sponsors, Children and Youth Liturgy Catechists, all Clergy, Women Religious and any other person who is responding to the call to bring children and youth to an encounter with Christ,” said Oscar Guzman, diocesan Youth Director.
“The objectives of these meetings are four-fold,” said School Sister of Notre Dame Sister María Elena Ferrer, diocesan Coordinator of Faith Formation. “First, to pray together and inspire creativity. Second, to meet with the directors to receive information from the Youth Ministry Office and the Office of Faith Formation. Third, to generate ideas that will improve the service of these offices. Finally, this is an opportunity to answer questions.”
The final meeting will take place Saturday, Sept. 24, 10:00am to noon, at St. Anthony’s Church, 115 North 25 Mile Ave., Hereford.
